As of the date of this writing, SELR has helped well over 500 llamas, and has never turned a llama away. Often times action must be taken immediately, to prevent animals from being euthanized, abandoned or left in situations that are an immediate threat to their health and well being. Necessity being the mother of invention, SELR transporters and emergency foster homes have collected numerous tips and tricks of the trade to get the job done under pressure. We hope that you will find these helpful in your own work. Many of these ideas are the inventions of others that have been passed along through numerous sources. We hope the inventors of anything presented here will step forward and take credit, and we certainly do not mean to take credit for anyone else's ideas, simply to share some things that have worked for us for the benefit of all llamas.
Remember, all of our tips are things that make it easier for us without compromising the llamas, but it's up to YOU to decide if they are right for you. These tips are offered with all the standard disclaimers. |
